Job Description:
Urban Pathways is a leader in providing a continuum of services for homeless and special needs formerly homeless adults. At Urban Pathways, we are redefining the term “service” in the New York City area by lifting up the most needy among us.

We are currently seeking a Facilities Manager for our Safe Haven facility to provide oversight for the facility operations. The incumbent will ensure that the facility is kept in good, clean order. In addition, he/she supervises the delivery of nutritional meals and the protection of the Center’s food and program supplies. The position also ensures that Operations staff deliver quality, responsive services to all clients, assist with clients issues in the absence of the Director of Social Services and Program Director. Responsibility also extends to maintaining appropriate security measures with staff to have security procedures always in place.

Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable):

• Sensitivity to the special needs of the homeless population.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required with two years’ supervisory experience (or equivalent training) preferred.
• Communication and written skills are required.
• Experience in fire safety is recommended.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
• Computer skills.
